Prerequisites:

Answering yes
to at least half of the
ten (10) skills in “Skills Inventory to Determine Readiness for
Viewing/Saving Photos on a computer.”
2.
Do need basic word processing skills

Content:

1.
Transfer/copy
the images from the camera by plugging it into the computer. |

2.
Transfer/copy
the images from the camera by inserting a memory card into the computer. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
3.
View the
digital images on my computer. |

|
|
|
|
|
|
4.
Name/rename
digital photos on the computer. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
5.
Create and
organize file folders. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
6.
Transfer the
digital photos to the folders. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
7.
Delete unwanted
photos. |
|
|
|
8.
Attach a
picture file to an email message. |

|
|
9.
Transfer or
make backup copies of the photos to an external source such as a CD, DVD,
Flash drive… |

10.
Use Picasa to
organize, edit, and share photos. |

Needed Materials: Camera Manual, Camera with charged batteries, Stored pictures, Cable to connect camera to computer
(or Card Reader for memory card), Storage Device (CD, Flash drive…)
